Lenovo Brings its New 8-inch Tab S8 and 13.3-inch Yoga Tablet 2 Pro Tablets to India
Lenovo is one of the most important electronics makers around the world, involved in building computers, tablets and most recently, even smartphones. And now the company is interested in expanding its presence on the Indian market.
Announced earlier during the year, Lenovo has brought its new S8 and Yoga Tablet 2 Pro tablets to Indian consumers, as well. Let’s have a brief look at the most important features and specs of these two.
Lenovo S8
Lenovo’s new voice-calling Tab S8 tablet launches in India at a price of Rs. 16,990 and is available via Flipkart starting from today. Although Tab S8 is the official name, the device is being sold and marketed as Lenovo S8 Tablet for Indian customers.
The new Lenovo tablet comes with single SIM support with voice-calling and 4G LTE connectivity support, as well. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat, features an 8-inch WUXGA 1920×1200 pixels IPS display powered by One Glass Solution technology and features a pixel density of 283ppi.
There’s a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor clocked at 1.86GHz and 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of inbuilt storage, but what’s a big drawback is that there’s no way to extend it. There’s a 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera (f/2.2 lens) with an LED flash and BSI 2 sensor, along with a secondary 1.6-megapixel HD fixed focus front-facing camera.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0. There’s a a non-removable 4290mAh Li-ion battery, as well, which should deliver up to 7 hours of usage time and up to 396 hours of standby time. The tablet also features dual front-facing speakers powered by Dolby Audio and measures 209.8×123.8×7.9mm and weighs 299 grams, being available in Ebony color.
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro
Lenovo’s new Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is also available exclusively form Flipkart at a price of Rs. 49,490. This is a rather unique deice which features a built-in pico projector and features a JBL-powered subwoofer, as well. The tablet can also be positioned in 4 modes, which includes Hang mode, Stand mode, Hold mode and Tilt mode.
The Android 4.4 KitKat-powered tablet sports a 13-inch QHD 1440×2560 pixels resolution IPS display along with a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor clocked at 1.33GHz along with 2GB of RAM. A 8-megapixel rear camera with f2.2 aperture and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera are present, as well.
The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro also gets 32GB of inbuilt storage, and with a microSD card it can be doubled. It also comes with 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi and weighs 948 grams. A massive 9600mAh battery is backing the device. The tablet is only available in the Platinum colour variant.
