There Won’t be a Nokia Lumia 1525 but a Microsoft Lumia 1525
For quite a while now, Nokia fans are looking forward to the release of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1525. However, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know by now that Nokia’s brand is coming to an end.
As we have previously saying, Microsoft plans to rebrand not only Windows Phone and transform it into plain ‘Windows’ but it has already started striking through the name of Nokia.
Thus, pretty much everything in Nokia’s devices and services business will be renamed into Microsoft – websites, apps, packaging and, of course, the much awaited flagship Nokia Lumia 1525.
So, you should no longer wait for that name but for ‘Microsoft Lumia 1525′. Microsoft will most likely wait until it depletes the current stock of Nokia Lumia-branded smartphones before it brings its very first Microsoft Lumia device.
And, who knows, maybe the Lumia 1525 will be the one.
As for what the rumor mill has been saying, it appears that the Lumia 1525 has already been confirmed that for US consuemrs at major operators – namely, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. It’s said to feature a Snapdragon 801 processor, a 2K screen resolution, a 6″ panel and 25 or 30 MP camera.
