The unveiling of Jeep Renegade 2015 has glimpsed a prominent twist in the tradition followed by Fiat Chrysler; Jeep, the largest domestic brand that built all of its vehicle in U.S., has decided to unveil its next roll-out in Geneva in March 2015.

Ironically, it will be the first in the Jeep series to be built abroad for a pre-dominantly U.S. market. The Jeep Renegade 2015 will be built in Italy, in Fiat’s Melfi assembly plant. Although, Jeep enthusiasts will not be very happy driving a car carrying an ‘immigrant’ status, a base price of about $20000 and a digression from the C-segment twins style will suffice.

According to design chief, Ralph Gilles, future Jeep models, including the Jeep Renegade 2015, will feature one of the two designs: swoopy or boxy. A swoopy design can be seen in the Jeep Cherokee or Jeep Cherokee Grand, and a boxy design can be seen in the Jeep Wrangler.

The implication of choosing just the two previously mentioned designs is off-road capability and utility of future Jeep vehicles. The Jeep Renegade 2015 is larger than Kia’s Soul, Mini Countryman and Nissan Juke making it sufficiently roomier and spacious.

The radiant and outshining feature of the Jeep Renegade 2015 is something called ‘My Sky’. The ‘My Sky’ is a pair of removable roof panels that can be removed both manually and automatically that are stowed or deposited under the floor.

The mechanical features of the Jeep Renegade 2015 are also quite remarkable. Boasting two different four cylinder engines, one for manual and one for automatic versions of Jeep Renegade 2015, the former is turbocharged 1.4 litre with 160 horsepower, and the latter is 2.4 litre with 184 horsepower.

Four-wheel drive is also available on both automatic and manual versions. In addition, the Jeep Renegade 2015 is reasonably fuel efficient with a 30 mpg. However, I believe the 30 mpg may just be given with 2 wheel-drive; with four-wheel drive, it may well be under 30 mpg.

The not so efficient fuel-efficiency is compensated with Jeep’s Select-Terrain system for snow, sand, mud and rock conditions.

I think that, regardless of Jeep Renegade 2015’s production origin, it is going to be a fan favorite. With eye-popping design and mechanical features, Jeep Renegade 2015 is destined to surpass its predecessors.
