New Micromax Canvas Selfie Targets the Female Indian Audience with Great Cameras
Micromax is enjoying great success on the Indian market, mainly because it is a domestic company. Now the firm is joining the ‘selfie’ bandwagon with the launch of the new Canvas Selfie smartphone.
While pricing is yet to be announce, the handset features some amazing specs, so if it will be released at an affordable price, then it will put into real danger other similar selfie handsets.
The biggest selling point of the device is the 13MP front-facing camera w/ LED flash, along with the 13MP rear camera w/ dual LED flash and Sony sensor. Yes, you read that correctly! Amazing, isn’t it?
There’s also 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 32GB expandability and a octa core 1.7GHz processor. The device features a 4.7-inch HD touchscreen w/ Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. There’s 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, dual SIM card slots in the connectivity department and a 2300mAh battery is powering the handset.
The Micromax Canvas Selfie will go on sale before mid of January 2015, and we really, really hope that it won’t be really expensive, considering its specs. It is interesting that Micromax is targeting the device at Indian women, as this bit was included in the press release:
Designed for the image-conscious women, the new smartphone equipped with 13MP rear and front cameras offers a perfect amalgamation of innovation, style and performance promising a superior mobile experience. Mr. Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax launched the phone with the IPTL stars Sania Mirza, Ana Ivanovic, Kristina Mladenovic and Daniela Hantuchova.
What’s your take on these specs? Will you be interested in buying one?
