iTunes has recently reached version 12 and there are some new interesting features that you should know about. iTunes isn’t aimed only at Apple customers, as those on Windows can install and use it, as well.

Latest iTunes 12 version focuses on streaming and the iTunes store. On the main page we don’t see anymore the drop-down box as it’s replaced by a series of icons representing Music, Movies and more, along with the “…” for more options.

The Apps store now also gets its own dedicated shortcut and the Home Sharing shortcut has now been moved to the Menu. On the Music page, individual shortcuts to a user’s library based on Artist, Songs and Albums have been transformed into “My Music”. Also, the iTunes store and Radio gets integrated. 

On the iTunes Store, the “carousel” now features flattened art instead of a 3D flip. Movies, Genres and Home Movies are now integrated into My Movies and the iTunes Store gets accessibility improvements, as well.

On the TV Shows page, we find again the iTunes Store near the other options. The App Store page has been updated and it now comes with additional shortcuts for each of your iDevices.

Also, now with Apple’s Family Sharing program, up to six family members can share content from the iTunes Store, as long as each family member uses the same credit card. It’s now available along with the improved playlist and a redesigned Get Info window.
