iPhone 6 Customers Complain About Misaligned Front-facing “Selfie” Camera
Every new iPhone generation is always hit with a bunch of problems. One of the most recent ones seems to be related with the front facing camera that usually serves for selfies or video-chatting.
A bunch of iPhone 6 owners have taken their frustration on Reddit. Here’s how the original thread sounds like:
My iPhone 6’s front facing camera is misaligned. There is a crescent visible on the right side of the hole. This also happened to my friends phone and a replacement model the Apple Store gave him. I’m wondering if others are seeing this issue.
Many have updated the problem, saying that they are experiencing the same issues with their new iPhone 6 units. Somebody from the MacRumors.com forums has shared the above image and also said the following:
So, according to a good number of iPhone 6 owners, the front-facing camera seems to be liable to moving within its housing, thus resulting in a gray crescent shape appearing on the right side of the camera. While most of the customers were able to replace the screen or even the entire handset, this new problem seems to be more widespread than initially thought.
According to an Apple Store employee, it seems that at the moment, Apple hasn’t been able to figure out the exact cause for the problem. Of course, this is a minor problem, but hey, you want your iPhone to be purrfect, right?
