GTA 6 Launch is Far Away, but Rumors and Hearsay are in Full Swing
If you were able to play the current GTA 5 on your Xbox 360 or PlayStation; and better yet – on your Xbox One, PC or PlayStation 4, then you know by now just how awesome it is.
And while Rockstar is still quite busy with maintaining satisfaction among next-gen gaming console owners, there is already a lot of talk online about the upcoming GTA 6. I personally believe that Rockstar hasn’t even started brainstorming on this, but one can never stop the rumor mill.
However, recently, Rockstar North Studio President Leslie Benzies spoke about an all-new Grand Theft Auto installment. Of course, major details have not been revealed, but at least this serves as some sort of a confirmation that there will be indeed a GTA 6 game sequel.
We’ve got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don’t know what ‘GTA VI’ will be, but we’ve got some ideas.
Recent speculation has it that the game action could be set in the year 1970. Recently, American hip hop DJ Whoo Kid, during an interview, said the following, hinting that New York could be the location:
I was in Call Of Duty and I was in some Grand Theft Auto games. I’m bout to be in the new Grand Theft Auto that takes place in New York again.
Of course, he could have been referring to just an extension of the game, so there’s no telling. And if we are to think about a most sane release, then 2018 or even 2020 is what comes to mind. Let’s not forget that there’s a lot of working being done behind the curtains and it will take quite a while.
