Swipe has unveiled its Ultimate Tab 3G laptop-tablet hybrid for Indian customers at a price of Rs. 19,999. Incidentally, the device gets launched in the same period as the ASUS EeeBook X205, which features a more accessible price of 15, 000 INR.

The 3G Swipe Ultimate will go on sale on leading e-commerce websites starting from today. The original Swipe Ultimate Tab 3G was launched in November last year and the new version gets the inbuilt 3G connectivity support via a SIM card and a direct USB 3.0 port. As for the other specs, these remain pretty much unchanged.

Swipe Ultimate Tab 3G is powered by Windows 8.1 and comes with a 10.1-inch XWVGA (1280×800 pixels) multi-touch IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology and a detachable magnetic keyboard. On the inside we find a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3735F processor with 4 core, 4 threads, 1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.83GHz burst, 2MB cache coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The hybrid gets 32GB of internal storage but it could support external storage up to 1TB HDDs via Micro-USB. This is a pretty nice feature, so let’s hope the Indian company will indeed make it available. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options feature Wi-Fi, 3G (via SIM card), Bluetooth 4.0, Micro HDMI port, Micro-USB, and USB 3.0.

We find an 7000mAh battery inside the device which measures 9.5mm thinness and weighs 580 grams. Shripal Gandhi, Founder & CEO, Swipe, said the following of the device:
