Xbox One January 2017 to be Filled With Ten Additional Backwards Compatible Games
One major concern Xbox fans had when Xbox One was initially announced was if they could play Xbox 360 games on the next gen console and this issue was answered when Microsoft launched its Backwards Compatibility program. It looks like Microsoft is adding titles to the Backwards Compatible program every month and there are already hundreds of classic Xbox 360 games included in the list but Xbox fans should expect even more games to be added during January. In fact, Xbox Executive Phil Spencer teased in a Twitter post that January will be a great month for Xbox players and then went on to confirm ten titles.
This isn’t the first time Phil Spencer disclosed information regarding backwards compatible games, the Xbox executive was actually the one to announce the launch of a Blue Dragon game and while everyone believed that he was trolling, it proved to be true. This time Spencer, said that “January looks pretty good” and he wasn’t kidding because just after that he confirmed the launch of ten major titles.
January List Of Xbox One Backwards Compatible Games
- Age of Booty
- Zuma’s Revenge
- Fable I
- Fable II
- Aegis Wing
- BioShock 2
- Blood Knights
- Crystal Defenders
With the addition of these impressive titles to the backwards compatible program we think it’s safe to say that Xbox One gamers will be busy during January. We can expect Microsoft to keep launching the same number of titles every month and maybe during 2017 the backwards compatibility list will be finally filled. Nonetheless, it’s great seeing how much attention Microsoft is paying to their player’s wishes and that its not just forgetting about older games.
