FIFA 17 – Electronic Arts Is Getting In The Christmas Spirit
The most popular sports game is definitely FIFA 17 and EA has been bringing in huge amounts of profits but not only because of the millions of units sold, the FUT mode has been generating impressive amounts of revenue as well. Now that Christmas is here EA has decided to get in the Christmas spirit and reward Ultimate Team players with free items for a span of twelve days.
EA made it very simple for players to collect FUT Christmas rewards, all that players have to do is to log in every day into FUT and they will be rewarded with packs, coins and even player cards. Worth noting is that FIFA players which choose to connect through the web app will receive additional free items. The twelve days festival has been dubbed as “FUTmas” by EA and it also includes a bunch of new squad building challenges.
As everybody knows by now, the majority of players from the Brazilian team called Chapecoense recently died in a tragic plane crash and the whole soccer world including EA has been paying respects for the Brazilian team. In order to commemorate the Chapecoense players, EA gave away for free a bunch of free kits. The company is also supporting another good cause, Premier League’s rainbow laces campaign which supports the LGBT community and to support that cause, EA gave away a number of rainbow colored kits for free.
It’s great seeing a huge game company like as EA supporting causes like these, especially since the company recently launched the RED exclusive FIFA Mobile game which donates profits to help the fight against AIDS. Nonetheless, we can be happy knowing that while we are spending money on FIFA 17 packs, a percentage of the money will be donated to good causes.
