Blizzard Is Celebrating 20 Years Since Diablo’s Launch
Blizzard is known mostly for its World of Warcraft franchise but it’s also the developer behind the critically acclaimed Diablo franchise. Diablo is one of the most popular games to this day and it’s considered to be a classic, in fact Blizzard is celebrating today 20 years since the first Diablo game was launched. In order to celebrate this event, Blizzard is holding in-game events in all StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft and of course Diablo 3. While the events don’t include any game changing experiences or items, it’s still a nice gesture Blizzard is doing to commemorate Diablo.
Players are now able to take part in The Darkening of Tristam event which allows Diablo 3 players to enter a “remastered” version of the memorable cathedral from the first game. This way players will get a chance to take a walk down the memory lane and remember the good times they had while playing the first Diablo edition.
The game now includes a new Tavern Brawl where players will find a hooded challenger. Hearthstone players can challenge the stranger to a deck brawl and in the process find out who he is and what secrets he holds.
Overwatch players are not going to anything big but instead they will be able to paint the game’s maps with new Diablo inspired sprays that are based on Diablo 3’s classes and use a new player icon model that’s based on the Lord of Terror.
World of Warcraft
WoW players are the ones to receive the most amount of Diablo 3 inspired features such as a bunch of new items. The game will now include six new book totems that can also be found in the Diablo universe, items like Stone of Jordan, Blank Diabolic, Tome of Town Portal.
