Dell Announces Two New Android Phones in India

Although, Dell has already appeared in the Indian market with the Dell Streak, this announcement seems like the real entry of Dell smartphones in India. The company has introduced two new Android powered handsets specifically of the Indian market.

They are the, Dell XCD28 and the Dell XCD35, both the phones are decently priced but are not the most powerful Android handsets in the Indian markets. However, they can fairly compete against the Samsung Galaxy 3 and Samsung Galaxy 5 and recently released Motorola’s QUENCH XT3 and the FLIPOUT. At the launch we did not get a lot of time with the phone, guys from Dell were all around us and it seemed like there was something wrong with the device which they did not want us to find out. Honestly, it seems like any other Android phone but this one has a Dell logo.

In terms of specifications, the XCD28 has a 2.8-inch screen (this is explains the name). It also features 200MB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 16GB via microSD. It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, Activesync which can be used for Microsoft Office Exchange and FM Radio which is a hit in the Indian markets. The XCD35 has a 3.5-inch capacitive (obviously) and both the devices will have 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.

The Dell XCD28 and XCD25 are now available in the Indian market, contract-free for a price of 10,990 and 16,990 respectively.
