South Korea gets Android 2.2 based Samsung Galaxy K

Although the Samsung Galaxy S took some time to make an appearance for KT subscribers, the good thing is that they are the first ones to get an official Android 2.2 update on their Galaxy S devices. Samsung recently announced that the new Samsung Galaxy K (SHW-M130K) through KT would come with pre-loaded Android 2.2 Froyo.

The Galaxy K has very similar specifications to that of the Samsung Galaxy L. It comes with a 3.7-inch AMOLED Plus screen, 1GHz Processor, WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity, Wireless tethering, 8GB of internal memory, T-DMB, Social Hub, Flash 10.1 support and along with the Android Market it will also have KT’s Olleh Market.

Other Galaxy S variants are expected to get the Android 2.2 Froyo update later this month. The Galaxy K will be available in black and white colors and will retail at 800,000 Won (approx $716 US).
