Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 Official Press Render and Specs Leak
Samsung can’t keep any secrets nowadays. Even though the South Korean tech giant wants to use the element of surprise whenever it launches a new device, this never plan works out since more than often, everything that Samsung is working on gets leaked. This is what’s happening with Galaxy Tab Active 2 as well since the tablet’s official press render was leaked.

The leak shows a sleek looking Samsung tablet that lives up to the Active brand name because it sports a tough back cover. There’s nothing jaw dropping about Galaxy Tab Active 2 other than the fact that it’s been special built to survive in harsh environments.
Luckily for eager Samsung fans, this press render isn’t the only Galaxy Tab Active 2 related leak. The device’s FCC certification, benchmark results and user manual were leaked as well. This is the reason why we know for sure that Samsung’s upcoming tablet will feature the newly developed virtual assistant, Bixby.
As previously mentioned, the tablet’s benchmark results were also leaked. This is quite important since it includes the tablet’s entire specs sheet. With that being said, let’s take a look under Galaxy Tab Active 2’s hood and see what lies beneath.
First off, the tablet will ship with a large 8.0-inches panel which offers a high pixel resolution of 1200 x 800. In terms of power, Galaxy Tab Active 2 impresses us with its Exynos 7870 chipset. This processor is made by Samsung itself and it features eight cores which clock at 1.5GHz.
As if the Exynos 7870 processor wasn’t powerful enough, Samsung also made sure to equip the tablet with an ARM Mali-T830 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM. Last but not least, the tablet will run on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
