Put Your Nexus 6P Down Because Pixel 2 XL is Almost Here
As everyone already knows, Google is getting ready to unveil the highly anticipated Pixel 2 XL. This smartphone is going to compete head on against the likes of Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8. Therefore, Google will make sure to equip it with high-end specs. While Pixel 2 XL’s arrival might be all around great news for the Android community, it does also kind of force Nexus 6P owners to leave their devices behind.
Google isn’t making it a secret that it wishes for Nexus 6P owners to switch to its newer Pixel brand. In fact, Google will even stop rolling out any major updates to Nexus 6P once Pixel 2 XL comes out. Therefore, Nexus 6P owners don’t really have any other option than to switch sides or use custom ROMs.
However, switching to Pixel 2 XL is not a bad thing at all. The smartphone will ship with some of the most impressive mobile hardware parts available right now and they will be paired with Google’s latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
Pixel 2 XL is said to sport a large 6.0-inches AMOLED panel that’s coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display might be nice but the specs that really matter are Pixel 2 XL’s internals. The smartphone will be fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 CPU. This processor features eight cores which clock at 2.45GHz and it is also bundled with an Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
Android 8.0 Oreo
The main reason why Nexus 6P owners should start considering switching to the Pixel brand is because Pixel 2 XL will run on Android 8.0 Oreo straight out of the box. This is Google’s best operating system yet and it offers a large number of innovative features. With that being said, Nexus 6P owners should start getting ready to put their device down and consider purchasing one of Google’s upcoming Pixel 2 XL handheld gadgets.
