Pixel 2 XL Official Press Render Leaks Ahead of Launch Date
Google is scheduled to unveil its highly anticipated Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL during the upcoming days. However, this doesn’t mean that we need to wait until Google is ready in order to see Pixel 2 XL and its thin bezels design in its full glory. Many people were wondering if Google was going to follow in Samsung and Apple’s footsteps and design a bezel less panel. Fortunately, Evan Blass uploaded an official press render of Pixel 2 XL which confirms that Google decided to rip a page out of Apple and Samsung’s design book.
Pixel 2 XL Leak
Right from the start we need to say that Pixel 2 XL looks amazing. This was to be expected since Pixel 2 XL represents the best that Google has to offer and also because it will compete directly against iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8 which also feature sleek designs. Nonetheless, the smartphone sports a beautiful 18:9 ratio that’s highlighted by the edge-to-edge panel.
After taking a closer look at Pixel 2 XL, one might actually say that it resemblances Galaxy S8 a little bit too much. The main difference between these two devices, at least in terms of design is that Pixel 2 XL doesn’t feature a curved display. In addition, the leaked picture also highlights the fact that Pixel 2 XL will ship with dual-front firing speakers which were previously used on Nexus 6.
Aux Jack Removed
As we can clearly see in the featured image, Pixel 2 XL sports a rugged case. The interesting thing about this case is that it doesn’t have room for a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the bright side though, Pixel 2 XL will sport a USB Type-C port that can be used to connect headphones. All in all, Pixel 2 XL looks amazing and it will be unveiled on October 4th.
