Lava XOLO gets Android 4.0 ICS update

Lava XOLO X900 was one of the first Android Smartphones to be powered by Intel, which launched earlier this year in April. Though the update for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was supposed to follow its launch in a few weeks, it is only yesterday that Lava International announced the update. The 222 MB upgrade is downloadable Over the Air (OTA) as well as via PC.

The upgrade brings a horde of improvements to the handset including Face Unlock, better multitasking and of course, a better interface. As the tech world awaits the arrival of Android 4.2, an incremental advancement of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Lava may be quite a few miles behind. Slow and steady may not necessarily win the race, but, it sure gets the work done.
