iBall launches Andi 4.3j with dual-battery for Rs. 9,499

iBall has recently launched a new Android smartphone in the Indian market and it is called the iBall Andi 4.3j. This is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread based Android smartphone however it is equipped with a dual-battery which is its only unique feature.

It is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, is dual-SIM capable, supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The dual-battery is made up of a 1,630 mAh + 900 mAh which total to a total capacity of 2,530 mAh. It has a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display and is priced at Rs. 9,499.

While its unique dual-battery feature does aim at solving the low battery life issue, it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread which is quite an old version of Google’s smartphone operating system. So the main question here is would one opt-in for an older Android version for the extended battery.

This device will go up against the likes of Micromax A90 and Spice Stellar Horizon both of which run Android 4.0 ICS.
