HP announces the Chromebook 11, priced at $279.99

HP along with Google has officially announced the Chromebook 11, which will the most affordable Chromebook till date. It is priced at just $279.99 (Rs. 17,300 approximately) and seems like a quite an interesting device.

The HP Chromebook 11 has a micro-USB charging port making it much easier to carry around as the user does not have to carry in additional cables. Most of the cables used to charge smartphones or tablets should work with this device. This is mainly possible as it is powered by an ARM chipset which is Samsung’s Exynos 5250.

This Google Chromebook sports a 11-inch display with a 1,366×768 pixels resolution and a 176-degree viewing angle. It has 16GB of local storage and comes with 100GB of Google cloud storage which is free for the first two years. It also includes 2GB of RAM and a VGA front facing camera.

On a single charge the device is expected to last for just 6.5 hours, it has 2 USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio port and a slimport video out.
