Cortana for Windows Phone Now Speaks Klingon, Helps You Gamble and Make Choices
There’s an ongoing fight between Apple’s Siri, Google Now and Microsoft’s Cortana virtual assistant. While it’s hard to say which one is better, is nice to see that they are always improving their products.
After learning to speak like Brits, Cortana for Windows Phone is gaining some new features that will impress owners of current smartphones. Let’s see what the new features consist in.
Microsoft has recently update Cortana with the ability to flip a coin or roll a die with a simple command – “roll the dice,” “flip a coin”. It’s tough to imagine who’d need help in that, but you can never know.
What will be the true big update of Cortana will be the inclusion in Windows 10, and it seems that we’re getting closer and closer to that very moment. Besides helping you at the casino, Cortana has another nice new feature to impress Windows Phone users.
Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant is now able to speak Klingon thanks to some work done by Microsoft’s engineers in their labs. You just need to ask the app to “speak Klingon” and there you go – start enjoying the language that was introduced in the popular Star Trek TV series.
Microsoft is also sponsoring the third annual Star Trek conference in London, so this new feature is another way to get some promotion around fans of the cultural phenomenon.
