While users were looking to pre-order iPhone 4S or were searching for a good trade-in deal, they might have stumbled on Amazon mind-boggling offer: 31 Verizon phones put up for sale with the price tag of one penny. For those already rubbing hands and heading out to Amazon website to seize the opportunity, wait! There is a catch, of course. This deal comes with “new activation”.

Amazon confirmed that the users would need to purchase a new line of services to take advantage of the deal. This includes a new phone or a new contract. For the customers who have an unlimited data plan and are interested to keep the contract conditions this is bad news indeed.
