Panasonic announces its new Lumix GM 1 Camera
Micro Four Thirds cameras have been extremely popular in recent time, and there are quite a few new ones being released very often. It sure is a good thing as these cameras have a great performance and much ease of use, making it ideal for hobbyists.
Now, Panasonic has announced its new micro four thirds camera which it calls Lumix GM 1. This camera claims to be the smallest micro four thirds camera in the market. It measures at just 98.5mm x 54.9mm x 30.4mm across. The Lumix GM 1 sports an alloy metal body frame along with brushed steel finish. To make it a much elegant and beautiful it has aluminum dials.
The Panasonic Lumix GM 1 features a 16 megapixel sensor, and it has a 4-inch LCD display on the back which tilts to making it easier to capture some shots. The camera comes with a 12-32mm (24-64mm equivalent) kit lens which is equipped with an aperture of f/3.5-5.6. One of its really cool feature is that the shutter speed can go as high as 1/16,000 seconds, which probably the first on a micro four thirds camera.
This device can also record videos in full HD resolution. It has a pop-up flash and integrated Wi-Fi support.
The Panasonic Lumix GM 1 is rumored to priced at around $749.99 with its 12-32mm kit lens. It sure is a premium price tag, but then again, this camera seems to be specially made for premium hobbyists. At the moment, there is no information on is official price or release date.
