Everybody is looking forward to the moment when their smartphones and tablets will be updated to the latest and greatest Andoid 5.0 Lollipop. However, what most companies choose to do is offer vague dates, which are puzzling consumers.
And now the most recent piece of information comes from two South Korean companies – LG and Samsung.
LG chose to speak about the upcoming Android 5.0 Lollipop with European customers, as it has recently promised its Dutch and Belgian LG G3 owners that an Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be available before the year’s end.
If we take into consideration that usually new Android version are being rolled out quite slow, then we can say that this is a courageous claim by LG. So, let’s hope that they stick to it and that you’ll get the latest version of the Android software before Christmas.
Samsung’s Galaxy S5, on the other hand, was initially said to be aiming for a November launch for Lollipop. But, as it was expected, this has been moved to December, according to some insiders.
As we were previously telling, Samsung confirmed that an Android 5.0 update for the Note 4 is on the works, but didn’t specify when exactly. HTC and Motorola, as well, said that they will try to update their handsets as quickly as possible.
