Yahoo Mail App Pulled Down from Windows Store for Windows 8 Users

As Wind8Apps informs us, the official Yahoo! Maill app is no longer on the Windows Store, which means Windows 8, 8.1 and even Windows 10 users will no longer be able to download it.

The move is rather unexpected and no official explanations have been given whatsoever, but if does indeed turn out to be true, then this means a big publisher like Yahoo! doesn’t apparently trust anymore the Windows Store idea.

However, there’s a big chance that Yahoo! is planning a makeover for the app or it is changing its entire strategy regarding Windows apps and could come up with either a revamped version or an entirely new product.

  1. Both of them are shooting each other. Either Yahoo has to support Exchange Active Sync, or MS has to support Card Dav or whatever Google and Yahoo are using for contact and calendar sync. Either way, Yahoo and Google and Microsoft unable to sync contacts and calendar along with email, is bad for users of those services.
