Google Maps App for Android Updated With Improved Navigation on Android Wear and More
When it comes to navigating from your mobile devices, the first name that comes to everybody’s mind is Google Maps. While there are still rivals like Nokia’s Here Maps solution, Google is the most known player by far.
Besides the big new changes, Google has recently improved its official Maps app for Android smartphones and tablets with the traditional bug fixes and minor improvements.
This might seem as a minor update, but the Google Maps app for Android gets updated with new Hindi languages, and considering that it’s the most popular languages in India, we understand why it’s big. This includes voice navigation in Hindi, as well.
Another big improvement is that Google Maps for Android now comes with improved navigation notifications on Android Wear devices, which is really nice, but there aren’t so many who have Android Wear smartwatches. But this will change in the future, for sure.
This is one of the most installed apps in the history, with at least 1 billion Android users downloading and using it. What about you – what’s your take on this version of Google Maps?
