Acer’s New Colorful Android Iconia One 8 Tablet Comes to the US Soon
Acer is an electronics company known for bringing affordable devices on the market, which doesn’t necessarily make them bad. Now, according to some new rumors, a new version of the Iconia One 8 could soon land in the US.
Unveiled at the recent IFA 2014 tech show from Berlin, the tablet comes in a choice of 10 lively colors with prices starting at around $149. It features an 8-inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and has an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor on the inside.
The tablet has been cleared for take-off in the United States, as it has just been spotted going through the FCC. The full name of the tablet is Acer Iconia One B1-810, codenamed Vesper 8. The mid-range Android tablet could be released anytime soon on the American market.
The Acer Iconia One 8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, and at the moment we don’t know when it could make the jump to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. The tablet also comes with an anti-fingerprint coating.
We don’t know too many other details related to this tablet, only that it’s going to be available in a wide range of colors for a cheap price. Once it gets released, we’ll have a look at its full specs, as well.
