Apple Could Share its Plans on the 6th Generation iPod in Early 2015
At the iPad launch event from this fall, many expected Apple to announced the 6th generation iPod, as well, but this didn’t happen, to the disheartening of millions of iPod fans all over the world.
While this product is doomed to death, – if we take into consideration decreasing sales, but also the fact that Apple Watch is said to be launched in the beginning of next year -, there are still many fans who’d like to see a 6th-generation iPod becoming reality.

Apple unveiled the fourth generation iPod Touch on September 1, 2010 and the fifth generation iPod Touch on September 12, 2012.
So, we can see that more than 2 years have passed since the last iPod upgrade, and with no other event on the cards, could this mean that Apple plans to discontinue the product?
It seems that we’ll find more details about this in the first quarter of 2015. During its quarterly conference call for the fourth quarter of 2014, Apple said it will introduce new financial reporting methods that will bundle Apple Watch and iPod with Apple TV and other accessories in a new category called “Other”.
So, thus, when Apple will report its financials in the first quarter of 2015, we’ll probably see how are iPod sales still doing and what’s going to happen with the 6th generation iPod.
