Opera Mini Gets iOS 8 Fixes for iPhone, iPad and Squashes Bugs for Android
Albeit not being as popular as Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer, Opera Mini has built a big name for itself in the mobile world, especially thanks to its special features.
I have it installed on my mobile device and have never complained about its functionality, as it sometimes easily beats other browsers in speed and performance. That’s why I am interested in every new update that’s out there.
As we are being informed by the official changelog on iTunes, version 8.0.5 of Opera Mini has been released with a bunch of iOS8 compatibility fixes, such as follows:
– Fixed problem with playing videos.
– Fixed crash when uploading files on iPad.
– Fixed geolocation support.
Both iPhone and iPad users seem pleased with the browser, but some of them wouldn’t say no to some features they’ve spotted on rival products, such as the Dolphin browser. Here’s what one of them has been saying:
” Downloaded Opera after getting it on my laptop and love both the desktop and mobile versions. My only complaint is that when browsing in bed, the screen flips sideways, whereas in Dolphin browser, you can choose to turn off this setting. Four out of five stars.”
As for Android users, the latest version of Opera Mini contains a variety of bug fixes, along with stability and performance improvements. The developing team hasn’t gone in other details, so I guess you’ll have to discover the novelties on your own.
