BIG Update for Dropbox’s Android App: You Now Can Save Files to SD Sards
In the cloud storage world, Dropbox is one of the most known companies, having always evolved steadily and taken care of its users with many, useful updates. Today we’re talking about a recent one that is involving Android users.
Dropbox has recently improved its Android app with brand new features such as the baility save to ‘SD Card’, faster search and support for the upcoming Android L version.
The ability to export ‘SD Card’ will allow users to transfer content between devices and enable its access even while the user is offline. This has been a widely requested feature by Android users, so it’s nice to see that Dropbox is listening to feedback.
In order to save to your SD card, you will just have to select the file on the cloud, tap the ‘Quick Action’ button, then ‘More’ followed by ‘Export’ and finally ‘Save to Device’. Dropbox said the following on its official blog:
“We’re always listening and looking for ways to make Dropbox fit more seamlessly into how you work — no matter which device you’re on. Exporting Dropbox files to an external SD card has been one of our most-requested Android features, which is why we’re excited that it’s part of our latest Dropbox for Android release, available for all versions of Android.
Exporting Dropbox files to your SD card gives you an easy way to transfer all your stuff — meeting agendas, trip photos, shopping lists, and more — as you move between Android devices, even without an Internet connection. And, it’s a great way to have important files with you offline when you can’t save any more favorites directly to your device.”
Besides the ability to export files to SD card, the latest version of Dropbox for Android has brought search performance enhancements, as well as other miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.
The app has a great rating of 4.5 on its page on Play Store obtain from almost 900, 000 votes. More than 100 million people have already installed and running it on their Android devices.
