Nvidia Shield Tablet Latest Software Update Brings Improved Touch Performance and More
Much-rumored, Nvidia’s Shield gaming tablet already has lots of fans around the world, with many of them having bought and already playing with the dedicated tablet for gaming. And now an important software update has been made available.
Recently released, the $299 Nvidia Shield gaming tablet comes with a 8-inch screen size, 5-megapixel camera and HDMI Mini TV output to stream your gaming session to your TV.
But what makes it stand apart is the huge processing power, thanks to its Tegra K1 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and running on four cores. It also comes with 2GB of RAM.
Nvidia’s latest software update comes with some nice and welcome updates, some of them being directly requested by Nvidia Shield Tablet owners. So, let’s have a look at the new features.
First of all, the Shield Hub has been enhance with a bunch of new features, and you’ll discover them yourself when logging in, as a detailed changelog hasn’t been provided.
There’s now the Network test capability feature present, as well, so you can use it to test your network. User customizable “My Android Games” and “My Media Apps” options have appeared, as well.
It’s now possible to share news items and swipe between articles, which is a quite nice social feature that Nvidia has added to its product.
The tablet has also received improved touch performance, as there were many complaints on support forums related to this. Besides the above mentioned features, miscellaneous stability and localization improvements have been deployed as well.
