New Apple iPad Mini launched, comes with a Retina Display

Along with the new iPad Air, the Cupertino based company has launched yet another tablet. This one is the next-generation iPad Mini and as expected and seen in many rumors and leaks, the device comes with a Retina Display.

This iPad Mini with Retina Display sports a 7.9-inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels resolution. This is the same resolution as the full-sized iPad with Retina Display or the recently announced iPad Air.

Apple has revealed more details on the iPad Mini with Retina Display, it will be powered by the same A7 processor as the one on iPhone 5S and the iPad Air. It will includes a front facing FaceTime camera and a 5 megapixel iSight camera on the back. Needless to say it will come with the latest iOS 7 update and in terms of the design it does not have any major changes.

Apple has announced that the iPad Mini with Retina Display will be priced at $399 for its 16GB Wi-Fi variant and the 16GB cellular variant will be priced at $529. The company has further slashed the pricing for the previous generation iPad Mini which will now be available for $329 onwards.
