Earlier this year Qualcomm officially announced that the company has plans to launch much faster mobile processors clocked as high as 2.5 GHz. Well, it seems that these processors from the chip manufacturer would power your smartphone and tablet devices sometime early 2012.

The guys at Pocket-Lint report that there would be new single core, dual-core and quad-core processors, these would be the high end processors which will also include next-generation Adreno graphics, support 1080p HD video playback and 3D graphics.
Additionally these chips will support 3G and 4G connectivity and will be built with 28nm design. The new 2.5 GHz processors would be a part of the new the S4 series of processors from Qualcomm.
The company will also launch offer the less powerful S1, S2 and S3 class of processors for low-end tablets and smartphones.
