OnePlus 3 and 3T Receive Oxygen OS 4.5.0 which Includes Some OnePlus 5 Key Features
We have some great news for OnePlus 3 and 3T owners today. Even though OnePlus 5 is out, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer hasn’t forgot about its older devices. The reason we are saying this is because Oxygen OS 4.5.0 started rolling out to OnePlus 3 and the 3T variant. Moreover, this new software update includes a bunch of OnePlus 5 specific features.
Oxygen OS 4.5.0
The update is being rolled out OTA (over the air) which means that OnePlus 3 and 3T owners don’t need do anything else than to simply wait for it arrive in their notification panel. In addition, eager OnePlus smartphone fans can also check for it manually by accessing the “Software Update” panel. Worth mentioning is that Oxygen OS 4.5.0 is quite big in size since the full image weighs in at 1.5GB. However, the OTA version is significantly smaller being sized at only 197MB.
Lift Up Display
One of the coolest features that only OnePlus 5 owners have access to is Lift Up Display. Luckily, this feature is going to arrive to OnePlus 3 and 3T owners as well. What this feature does is basically allows users to lift their smartphone in order wake it up. This is similar to what Apple and Google are doing with their iPhone and Pixel flagships. Nonetheless, this feature can be enabled from the Settings – Display panel.
Gaming Do Not Disturb
Another great feature that Oxygen OS 4.5.0 contains is the gaming do not disturb setting. This feature blocks notifications and it also locks capacitive buttons at the same time. While this might not be some ground-breaking feature, it will come in quite useful to OnePlus 3 and 3T owners who love to play games on their smartphone. All in all, the update is already rolling out and it should arrive anytime moment now.
