Nexus 6P Crumbles in the Face of Pixel 2 XL
Google recently revealed that Pixel 2 XL is scheduled to come out on October 4th. While this is great news for Android fans, we know a community that’s not so happy about Pixel 2 XL’s arrival. We are talking about the Nexus 6P community. The reason we are saying that Nexus 6P owners are not thrilled about Pixel 2 XL is because it means that Google will completely depart from the Nexus brand.
The Android parent has not made it a secret that it wants customers to buy Pixel smartphones instead of Nexus ones. However, trying to get Nexus 6P owners to purchase a brand-new Pixel smartphone has not been that easy.
The way in which Google is trying to persuade Nexus fans to switch sides is by equipping its Pixel devices with extraordinary specs. With that being said, let’s check out every piece of information that’s available about Pixel 2 XL and see if time has come for Nexus 6P owners to leave their smartphone behind.
Pixel 2 XL Specs
The smartphone will sport a large 6.0-inches panel that uses AMOLED technology. Google’s decision to go with AMOLED is a great one since it allows Pixel 2 XL to offer a high resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Moreover, the panel is also coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which ensures that it won’t break at its first drop.
In terms of power, Pixel 2 XL is truly impressive. The device will ship with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 CPU. This is the most powerful mobile processor available right now and it clocks at 2.45GHz Kyro. As if that wasn’t enough, Google also paired the processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/128GB of internal storage space. We should also mention that Pixel 2 XL will be great when it comes to gaming purposes since it packs an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit.
