Lenovo launches ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook in India for Rs. 85,000
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of its ThinkPad brand, Lenovo has launched the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook in the Indian market. Lenovo claims that this is the world’s thinnest 14-inch ultrabook which is less than 8mm thick and weighs less than 1.36kg. The company has officially priced it at Rs. 85,000.
Lenovo has achieved such a light built for the ultrabook using carbon fiber and hence the name. In terms of hardware, it is powered by the latest generation Intel Ivy Bridge processor, has a 256GB SSD and a 14-inch HD+ display. Additionally it includes a glass multi-touch trackpad, 6 row backlit keyboard, 6.3 hours of battery life, Dolby Surround sound technology and a 3G capable SIM card slot.
No information on the GPU and RAM has been revealed however it is obvious that you will have the freedom of configuration for the same. The device will com pre-loaded with Windows 7 and will later be upgradable to Windows 8 once it is released for the masses.
