Here comes a new tablet to the Indian market, however this not one of those affordable types. Cisco has officially announced its enterprise focused Cius tablet, which would hit the stores sometime in the first week of October.

The Cisco Cius is an Android 2.2 FroYo based tablet device which is powered by a 1.6 GHz Atom Z615 processor and to provide enterprise standard experience the company ships it with customized apps for calendar, Jabber for IM, voice chat and video chat, desktop sharing, conferencing and an impressive email client. However, it has the basic Android 2.2 FroYo UI.
It also comes pre-loaded with apps including Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (VPN), QuickOffice Lite, Cisco WebEx Conferencing, Visual Voicemail and Unified Inbox. Additionally, the company has also included its very own applications store known as AppHQ which includes over 200 apps developed for enterprise users. It includes a cloud-based storefront with apps which can be used by various users and more specifically IT managers, all of which are Cisco validated applications.

It is a 7-inch device which sports a 5 megapixel rear camera and secondary front facing camera which is capable of 720p video capturing. It comes with a speaker phone docking station accessory which can be purchased separately. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, mini HDMI port, support for up to 32GB microSD card, microUSB port, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP +EDR and 4G capability however will work with 3G in India.
The pricing is not yet announced by the company however, in the US it is priced at $700 (34,500 INR approx) and with the telephone dock it goes up to $1000 (49,000 INR approx).
