Budget Nokia 2 Tipped to Launch in November by Nokia Employee
Everyone thought that HMD Global was making a bad decision when it decided to purchase the rights to the Nokia brand. The Finnish tech manufacturer used to be the biggest name in the smartphone world a few years ago and it looks like HMD Global is managing to bring the Nokia brand back to life. Nearly every smartphone that HMD Global launched in partnership with Nokia has been a success and it looks like HMD Global is not going to stop anytime soon.
Even though Nokia 8 is officially out and HMD Global is adding the finishing touches to Nokia 9, it seems like HMD Global is also working on a third device. The device we are talking about is Nokia 2 and an official Nokia employee confirmed that it will be launched somewhere around in November.
This information comes straight from Nokia’s official Myanmar Facebook page where a Nokia official told a fan that Nokia 2 will be unveiled in November. In addition, the employee also stated that the upcoming smartphone will hit the Southeast Asian country first. Therefore, other regions of the world might have to wait until Nokia 2 becomes available for them.
Nokia 2 is being kept away from the media’s eyes right now but this doesn’t mean that we don’t already know what to expect from it. Therefore, Nokia 2 is said to sport a 4.7-inches IPS LCD (720 x 1280-pixels) display. In terms of processing power, Nokia 2 will be fitted with one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 CPU’s that’s coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage space.
From what we can tell, if these specs prove to be true then it means that Nokia 2 will be quite affordable. Even though Nokia 2 might not be capable of going against the likes of iPhone 8 or Galaxy Note 8, it’s still a great purchase for low-ranged budgets.
