Android 8.0 Oreo: Find Out When Your Smartphone Will Receive Google’s Latest Update
Yes, Android 8.0 Oreo has been officially unveiled. However, there haven’t been that many smartphones that received. The only devices to run on Android 8.0 Oreo as of right now are Google’s own-made Pixel and Nexus smartphones. Although, this doesn’t mean that Android fans need to wait for a long while until Android 8.0 Oreo arrives their way since a bunch of smartphone companies have already confirmed if their flagship devices will get the highly anticipated software update.
HTC has a history of teaming up with Google in the past and no one should be surprised to find out that this company is one of the first ones to receive access to Android 8.0 Oreo. In addition, HTC announced that its U11 smartphone will receive Google’s latest operating system before 2017 comes to an end.
Many might not know this but the CEO of Essential is Andry Rubin. This man is one of the lead designers of Android OS and Google hasn’t forgotten that. The reason we are saying this is because Essential confirmed its bezel less smartphone will receive the update in the not so far away future.
Considering the fact that Samsung is the biggest tech company in the world, one would expect it to receive Android 8.0 Oreo as soon as possible. Luckily for Samsung fans, this is exactly the case. Rumor has it that Samsung is already working on tweaking out Android 8.0 Oreo so that it works flawlessly on its latest Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices.
The company that will start rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to the largest number of smartphones is Sony. First off, the company’s latest Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact will be among the first ones to receive the update. After those two flagship devices receive the update, the following are next in line: Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ, X Compact, XZ Premium, XA1 and XA1 Ultra.
