Jolla’s Sailfish Smartphone Comes to India for $270
Android and iOS are ruling the world, but Jolla thinks it can impress users with its hardware and software. That’s why the company has recently launched in India, one of the fastest emerging mobile markets.
Jolla has been founded former Nokia employees who think they can impress the world with a newcomer. Recently, the company has annoucned its entrance in the Indian market with the Sailfish OS-powered Jolla.
The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 16,499, which is the equivalent of $270 and is already available exclusively via Snapdeal. The smartphones comes with an affordable price and it will be interesting to see what will be the response of the market.
The Jolla Smartphone runs the Sailfish OS mobile operating system, which has been developed by a few former employees of Nokia, who had previously worked on the MeeGo operating system. The smartphone also comes with a replaceable back cover, which is a cool feature that will appeal to those looking to customize their devices.
