Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, The Last Movie From The Franchise?
A thirteen years long story about the movies from the “Resident Evil” franchise may finally come to the end. The sixth installment of the franchise is over the horizon and some people from the production point out that this will be the last “Resident Evil” movie ever.
It’s been a while since a director Paul W.S. Anderson announced that he is working on the sixth installment of the movie based on one of the most popular horror video games ever, Resident Evil.
Lead actress, Milla Jovovich said that the sequel will possibly come out in 2015. Also, Anderson revealed us that the movie will have a working title “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” so we guess this is going to be the last installment of the franchise.
It was originally meant to be filmed in South Africa, more precisely in Johannesburg and Cape Town, but those plans have drastically changed after Milla announced that she’s pregnant with her second child, via social networks.
“This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. But… My husband Paul and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!!” she wrote on her Facebook page.
“So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie.
Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo,” she then added: “In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition.”
In her further discussions, Jovovich also mentioned the South African production team who already prepared everything for the arrival of the production and the cast. It is also expected that Milla Jovovich and Li Bing Bing will reprise their roles from the previous move, as Alice and Ada Wong.
