X-Men: Apocalypse Release: All the Details That we Know

Fans were absolutely delighted with “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and they’re constantly demanding the sequel, “X-Men: Apocalypse.” But unfortunately for them, the movie is almost two years away from its release date.

When it comes to rumors about the plot, there are speculations around the internet speculating about the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the sequel.

And it seems now that speculations about Wolverine are positive, but he will now be given a “new direction”. Some entertainment news websites claim that Wolverine might be transformed into a character named Weapon X, in the sequel. Citing what’s said in the comic books, the storyline will tell us about the reign of supervillain Apocalypse where Weapon X and Jean Grey are going to “carry out missions for the Human High Council” together.

Also, sources claim that in the beggining of the nuclear attack on the US, Jean Grey leaves her current mission in order to help people to evacuate. Meanwhile, Weapon X is looking for Gateway, a mutant who is able to teleport. Gateway is needed to bring the “fleet to America.” According to some reports, Weapon X will join the fleet to find his love, Jean Grey.

Namely, synopsis for “X-Men: Apocalypse” isn’t released yet, so this storyline should be considered as a speculation, until we have a formal confirmation. Also, it can’t be said if the franchise will follow the story from comic books or make some adjustments and changes.

Furthermore, some reports claim that Jennifer Lawrence’s character, Mystique could bring more mutants to the team. This may include her son, Nightcrawler, joining the team of Magneto.

Fans already know that En Sabah Nur will be the supervillain of Apocalypse. His assistants will be Four Horsemen and Akkaba clan. Besides Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, it is expected that many other recurring cast members will reprise their roles. The movie is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 27, 2016.
