OnePlus 3 and 3T’s Last Operating System (Android 8.0) Update is Coming
One Plus 3 and the 3T variant are two of the best Chinese smartphones ever made. These two devices are so popular that they were dubbed as the “flagship killers” since they stole so many clients away from the likes of Apple and Samsung. Despite the fact that both of them are equipped with impressive hardware, there still is a downside to owning one. People never know when the last update will arrive.
Last Operating System Update
Sadly, this is the case with Google’s upcoming Android 8.0 “O”. The Chinese manufacturer announced that Android 8.0 is going to be the last operating system update that OnePlus 3 and 3T will receive. The reason why OnePlus has taken this decision is because it wants customers to upgrade their smartphones to the more expensive OnePlus 5.
This is Not the End
While this might sound like OnePlus 3 and 3T owners should start saying goodbye to their smartphones, this is not actually the case. First of all, Android 8.0 is scheduled to come out during the upcoming months and OnePlus won’t roll it out right from the start since it needs to optimize it a bit at first. Secondly, once Android 8.0 Arrives, OnePlus 3 and 3T owners will be surprised to see how much it improves their smartphones thus increasing their expiration date.
Another factor that promises OnePlus 3 and 3T still have a few good years ahead of them is their powerful hardware specs. Right now, we’re going to take a look under OnePlus 3T’s hood and see what makes it so powerful. The smartphone is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 CPU that’s been clocked at 2.35GHz. Furthermore, the processor is also bundled with an impressive Adreno 540 graphics processing unit and the whopping amount of 6GB RAM.
