LG Optimus L1 II launched in Vietnam, runs Android Jelly Bean on a 3-inch display
Apart from its new flagship smartphone, LG has introduced a new entry-level smartphone which it calls the Optimus L1 II. This is the most affordable Android Jelly Bean based smartphone from LG and we expect it to soon launch in emerging markets.
In terms of the specifications, the LG Optimus L1 II sports a 3-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) resolution display and it is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. In addition to this it has 4GB of built-in storage capacity which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. It is equipped with a 1,540 mAh battery.
In terms of the software it comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean which is skinned with some customizations from LG. It has a 2 megapixel rear fixed-focus camera which is capable of VGA quality video recording and a secondary VGA quality front facing camera. In terms of the connectivity it supports 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS and aGPS.
At this point the smartphone has been launched in Vietnam with no word on its launch in other markets. Needless to say such an entry-level smartphone from LG will eventually arrive in other markets.
