Lenovo launches new Android and Windows 8 tablets in India

Famous PC vendor Lenovo has launched a bunch of new Android and Windows 8 based tablet device in India. The products launched include three Android based tablet which are A1000, A3000 and S6000 while Window 8 based tablets which include the ThinkPad Tablet 2 and IdeaPad Lynx K3011.

The Lenovo A1000 is a low cost Android tablet which is priced at just Rs. 8,999, it is powered by dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz from MediaTek and has 16GB of built-in storage. The device sports a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and feature pocket studio surround sound which incorporates Dolby technology along with front facing speakers for improved sound output.

Next is the Lenovo A3000 tablet which is an improvement over the A1000. It supports HSPA+, has voice calling and video calling features. It comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It sports a 7-inch IPS display with a 1024×600 pixels resolution. It includes 16GB of built-in storage, and supports expandable storage up to 64GB. It is priced at Rs. 16,000 and both the A1000 and the A3000 are equipped with a 3,500 mAh battery.

The Lenovo S6000 is a 10-inch Android tablet which comes pre-loaded Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and it is officially priced at Rs. 27,000. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz and sports a 10.1-inch display with a 1280×800 pixels resolution. It is surprising that this being a high-end tablet it is not equipped nifty hardware.

Next is a Windows RT based tablet which is called the IdeaPad Lynx and it is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor which is clocked at 1.8GHz and 2GB of RAM. The device has 64GB of built-in storage, an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1368×768 pixels resolution. It is officially priced at Rs. 51,990. It comes with a Bluetooth keyboard dock which can be purchased separately.

Finally the most impressive of all the devices is the Windows 8 Pro based ThinkPad Tablet 2 which sports a 10.1-inch display with a 1368×768 pixels resolution and comes with a stylus. The device is also powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor which is clocked a 1.8GHz and has a 2GB of RAM. It further includes 64GB of built-in storage, has USB ports and it is officially priced at Rs. 50,000. The device also comes with additional dockable keyboard with ThinkPad like design and charging dock with additional ports. These are purchased separately.
