Galaxy Note 8 Launch Date Confirmed to be August 23rd in Teaser Video
Samsung fans should be happy to know that the South Korean tech giant finally confirmed when Galaxy Note 8’s launch will happen and that will be on August 23rd during Samsung’s “Unpacked” event. This is an important piece of information, especially since Galaxy Note 8 is the best device that Samsung has to offer in terms of handheld devices and also because Samsung needs to clear its name after last year’s the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
In order to get fans excited about Galaxy Note 8, Samsung released a short video teaser which gives us some insight of what to expect. The video’s theme seems to be innovation with short concepts which imply that big gets bigger, step becomes leap and so on. In addition, a short blue animation of Galaxy Note 8’s S Pen can be seen throughout the video.
What We Know So far
Samsung is doing a great job of withholding information surrounding Galaxy Note 8’s specs. However, the internet is flooded with leaks about the smartphone’s high-end specs and we will go over them right now. First and foremost, the smartphone will sport a large 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel which is the reason why Galaxy Note 8 is being categorized as a phablet. Moreover, the display will be coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which enhances its durability.
In terms of power, Samsung really went overboard this time. Galaxy Note 8 will be fueled by either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 or Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 processor, depending on the region in which the smartphone is being sold. Galaxy Note 8’s processing power gets even bigger because it is equipped with 6GB of RAM. Last but not least, the premium smartphone will ship with a non-removable 3,300 mAh Li-Ion battery that supports fast charging.
