Bethesda Unveils Doom FVR, Fallout 4 VR and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim VR Launch Dates
Bethesda is one of the biggest names in the gaming industry and a while ago, the developer announced that its working on three VR editions of some of its most popular game franchises. However, Bethesda has a bad habit of running into development issues and postponing game launches. Fortunately, this is not the case since Bethesda decided to confirm that Doom VFR, Fallout 4 VR and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim VR will all come out before 2017 ends.
Doom FVR, Fallout 4 VR and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim VR Launch Dates
First off, Doom FVR will be available for purchase starting December 1st and it will be compatible with HTC Vive and PS VR. Secondly, Fallout 4 VR will launch on December 12th as an HTC Vive exclusive title. Last but not least, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim VR will drop on November 17th and it will be exclusive to PS VR.
HTC Vive $200 Discount
If you thought things couldn’t get better, then you should know that HTC recently announced that the Vive VR headset’s price will drop by $200. This is great news and it goes hand in hand with Bethesda’s upcoming releases. However, we need to mention that the only reason why HTC is cutting Vive’s price is because it wants to encourage customers to purchase accessories such as the Vive controller which enhances the gaming experience.
The VR market is booming right now and Bethesda is making a great decision to get involved. There aren’t that many big-time game VR games out there and Bethesda wants to capitalize on that. Moreover, all three games already have an established fan base and Bethesda won’t need to spend too much many on marketing which results in an even bigger profit. Nonetheless, these upcoming months are looking great for VR fans.
