Analyst say, Android will pass iPhone in 2012

It is quite obvious that Android is on a constant growth, and following up on this growth iSuppli is predicting that Android will hold a fifth of the global smartphone market by the end of 2012. It is not really surprising as many have start taking interest in Android and have come to prefer it over the iOS.

To achieve this Android will have to reach 75-million smartphone users throughout the world. Considering the fact that about 200,000 Android phones have been activated per day this does not seem to be a difficult task.

Further, iSuppli predicts that in 2014, Android will have 23% of the global market share to 15% would under the iPhone. The Android is a really vast and open mobile operating system and every manufacturer delivers a different and unique Android experience and this has been a really important factor in this growth of the operating system.
