Acer unveils Android 4.0 ICS based Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo

Acer has recently announced two new smartphones, though the second one is mainly a dual-SIM variant of the first. Regardless, the single SIM device is called the Liquid Gallant while the dual-SIM capable device from Acer is called the Liquid Gallant Duo.

In terms of the specifications both the devices sport a 4.3-inch display with a 960 x 540 pixels resolution and are powered by a single core 1GHz MTK 6575 processor. They run Android 4.0 ICS as the stock operating system, have a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, microSD card slot and a 1,500 mAh battery which is rated for up to 6 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby.

In terms of connectivity the smartphone is equipped with FM Radio with RDS, 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0+EDR and GPS/aGPS.

Both the smartphones will be available in two colors – Gentle Black and Ceramic White. The Acer Liquid Gallant Duo will be the first one to hit markets sometime in September and soon followed by the Acer Liquid Gallant. The pricing is yet to be revealed and both the devices will be showcased at IFA 2012 in Berlin.
