Moto 360 Release Made OFFICIAL by Motorola, Along with New Moto G and Moto X
Back at Google’s I/O keynote, the company teased its Moto 360 Smartwatch. Motorola is now sending out invitations for a press event in Chicago on September 4th, where it is expected to unveil its new latest products, inclduding a new Moto X, Moto G and the new Moto 360 smartwatch.
September 4th will be either be a good or bad day for Motorola, as the company looks to unveil a bunch of new products. Amongst those: a new Moto X, Moto G, a bluetooth handset and the much anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch.
On the invitation, the company has teased all 4 aforementioned products, with a “X” most likely depicting a new Moto X, and a “G” depicting a Moto G. A company spokeswoman also confirmed that there would be multiple products at the event.
After its announcement, the handsets are rumoured to hit stores the same month, most likely by Sep. 25th as Verizon says. However, other carriers might get their hands on the Moto X earlier.
According to current rumours, the Moto X will most likely sport a 5.2″ 1080×1920 display full HD display, alongside a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD support, 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, and 2900mAh battery.
On the other hand, we currently have no exact specs on the Moto 360 smartwatch. The Moto 360 is set to be the first smartwatch to sport a round face design, which not only looks and feels unique, but has been considered to be one of the best designs amongst Android smartwatches so far.
According to Motorola, “Moto 360 sets itself apart with a design that reimagines time for the modern era – a distinctive round display, carefully chosen materials, and fine craftsmanship all while keeping you on track and up to date without taking you out of the moment.”
The Moto 360 will run on the same Android Wear software as Samsung’s and LG’s smartwatches run on, so we won’t expecting quite a different in software and interface use.
Motorola has picked quite a busy period for its launch event though. It comes only a day after Samsung is set to reveal it’s latest Galaxy Note 4, and a week before Apple is set to announce its next iPhone at an event on September 9th.
Let’s wait and see what Motorola has exactly up its sleeve.
