‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Trailer is the MOST WATCHED EVER, Release Date in Early 2015
Fifty Shades of Grey’s movie trailer was released last week. According to the film’s producers, the trailer is now the most watched movie trailer ever. Will the movie be as successful as the trailer has been?
Last week saw the release of the trailer of the movie adaptation of the famous erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The trailer enjoyed up to 100 million views all around social networks in its first week alone.
Universal said the trailer of the film adaption of the popular novel generated more than 100 million views on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. The YouTube trailer had more than 20 million views alone.
Most fans tuned in to get a glimpse of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson get steamy in the adaptation of the best-selling novel, which revolves around the relationship between billionaire Christian Grey and college student, Anastacia Steele. RelishMix CEO Marc Krazen, said the following:
“Fifty Shades Of Grey trailers are pulling monumental views. Add to that ripped and reposted versions on movie fan channels. It’s unprecedented for a film that’s six months out.”
Worldwide famous pop singer Beyoncé previously dropped a shorter five days earlier to the trailer release. The shorter debuted to her 14 million followers on her Instagram feed. The film’s soundtrack features Beyoncé’s exclusive, sexy remix of “Crazy in Love”.
Trailers are becoming important marketing tools for movie these days and the huge success seen by Fifty Shades Of Grey showcases that movie production companies will put a big focus on trailer in the future.
The trailer sparked outrage from US conservative groups concerned that the film glamorises sexual violence towards women. The movie was criticized for “telling the public (especially youth) that humiliation, degradation and torture in sex is normal”.
The film’s producer, Michael De Luca said recently that fans can expect an “intense and erotic love story” that will stay faithful to the book without being “gratuitous or exploitative”.
If everything goes as planned, the movie is set to be released on 13th February 2015.
